报告题目：Thurston’s sphere packings on 3-dimensional manifolds

报告摘要：Thurston’s sphere packings on 3-dimensional manifolds are 3-dimensional analogues of Thurston’s circle packings on surfaces, and generalizations of the tangential sphere packings introduced by Cooper-Rivin. They could be taken as the discretization of conformal transformations in Riemannian geometry. In this talk, we will discuss the local and infinitesimal rigidity of Thurston’s sphere packings on 3-manifolds. In the special case of tangential sphere packings, we will discuss the global rigidity. This talk is based on joint works with Xiaokai He and Chao Zheng.

报告人简介：徐旭，武汉大学教授，博士生导师，湖北省数学学会副理事长，2006年本科毕业于华中科技大学，2011年在中国科学院数学研究所获得博士学位，师从张晓研究员，为教育部“长江学者奖励计划”青年学者，湖北省高层次人才特殊支持计划青年拔尖人才。研究领域为离散几何与微分几何，代表性研究工作包括：证明了三维流形上堆球度量的整体刚性、曲面上反演距离堆圆度量的刚性、曲面上一般形式离散共形结构的刚性，对曲面上的离散共形结构给出了完整分类，还在预定组合曲率问题和组合曲率流相关问题上取得了系列进展。在J. Differential Geom.、 Amer. J. Math. 、Peking Math. J.、Adv. Math.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、 J. Funct. Anal.、 Sci.China Math.等知名数学期刊上发表论文40余篇
